Udom undoes Naga

PKR with goalscorer PM Udom at far left on back row (7)
The opening Metfone C-League match on Sunday at the Olympic Stadium was decided by a quality free-kick from Preah Khan Reach's Prak Mony Udom. After a bashing by National Police the week before, PKR were determined to keep NagaCorp at bay and that's exactly what they did. The only goal of the game came on 9 minutes. The blossoming Udom curled a delightful 30-yard dead-ball strike over the defensive wall and past Phorn Ratana with aplomb. That was easily the highlight of a match played in sweltering conditions. PKR had two new foreign arrivals in their squad, James Adekunle, who started at centre-half and then moved into midfield, when PKR brought on Issac Fatomoye in defence to shore things up. They appear to have already jettisoned the Japanese and Vietnamese foreigners they played a few weeks ago.
NagaCorp had little to offer against a determined PKR side
