Another powerful performance from the Academy U-17s as they took the game to Civil Aviation, who in particular, had no answer to a man-of-the-match display by midfield dynamo Orn Chanpolin. It was the lanky youngster who fired in a Kim Chhaya free-kick from the edge of the box after just 3 minutes. He rose highest to nod home an In Sodavid corner six minutes later. Despite Civil Aviation's heavy-handed tactics, Pov Ponvuthy tapped home Ken Chansopheak's centre on 26 minutes before Chanpolin's twice-taken penalty, on 36 minutes, made it four at the break. The penalty incident caused a 4-miunute stoppage as most of the CA team walked off the pitch after Chanpolin's first penalty was saved, but the kick was ordered to be retaken for encroachment. Chanpolin took his tally to 4 goals on 59 minutes, taking advantage of a poor clearance with a dipping drive. Goal number six fell to Yeu Muslim, who took Suon Noeut's pass in his stride and slotted the ball inside the far post for another convincing win at Tonle Bati.
Match Report to come.
