China success

The Cambodian U-22 national team found the going too tough again this afternoon, failing 3-0 against the China U-22s in Vientiane, Laos in their qualifying encounter in the AFC U-22 Asian Cup. Two goals either side of the half-hour mark gave Cambodia a mountain to climb against their better-on-the-day opponents, who netted again near the end of the game to seal their third straight qualifying win to lead the Group F table. Cambodia now meet North Korea on Saturday, who beat Hong Kong 1-nil this afternoon.

The Governance had abandoned the soccer this recent years...

U-22 got their packages, young and potential... but as a nation's player they didn't get a better support from government, If I'm wrong plz correct.

North Korea and Laos next..... wonder how many more goals will the team ship in.... probably another 4-6 in next 2 games...
so if these are the best youth that Cambodia have then the future will not be bright - Laos beat Thai yesterday and Myanmar draw 0 - 0 with South Korea! the 2nd tier teams like Laos and Myanmar are catching up with the usual SEA big boys of Malaysia Singapore Indonesia Vietnam and Thailand... where does this leave Cambodia...where is the grassroots events, where is the school competitions, where is the 5 or 10 yr plan for cambodia soccer... as the saying goes - failing to plan is planning to fail... i think cambodia soccer is heading in the wrong direction... so sad for a football crazy nation...

Andy, I understand your feeling. It's really hard to apply a sound technique or plan in a corruption nation. As you said previously the football development pace in Cambodia should be much faster than now if we have less corruption.
