Despite a rare subdued performance by the
Phnom Penh Crown Academy,
they were still more than a match for the SSCA (Civil Aviation) U-16s
this morning at the RSN Stadium. Thirteen minutes into the game, Pov
Ponvuthy's header from a corner was expertly volleyed inside the far
post by Vat Samnang for the opening goal. SSCA bundled in the equaliser
three minutes later. Ten minutes after the half-time interval, Samnang
was on target again, finishing off a well-worked move down the right
flank, with the telling cross supplied by Ponvuthy. A few minutes later
Mat Nuron fired against an upright as the Academy boys settled for a 2-1
success in this friendly encounter.
