HIV Awareness Campaign

The PPCFC squad and staff with the HIV Awareness message
Phnom Penh Crown is proud to have been chosen as a key partner along with the SALT Academy, the Football Federation of Cambodia and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, as well as the Asian Development Bank, Asian Football Confederation and UNAIDS (Joint United Nations Program on HIV) to work together on a football-based HIV prevention program that will help tackle the risk of HIV transmission amongst young people in 5 countries (Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and the Philippines). Communication and education about the dangers of HIV/AIDS transmission is so important that PPCFC is wholly committed to take part in this campaign to enhance awareness of HIV, improve access to HIV prevention and treatment and eliminate HIV-related stigma and discrimination in advance of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The goal is to reach ‘Three Zeros’, namely Zero New HIV Infections, Zero Discrimination and Zero AIDS-Related Deaths. The PPCFC senior squad and staff support the campaign message: 'Get tested, know your status, protect yourself, be a role model and no discrimination.'
