Chaya on target

Chan Chaya takes a rest at the final whistle after his goal sent Crown to the top of the C-League
Phnom Penh Crown had speedy substitute Chan Chaya to thank for the only goal of their Metfone C-League game against Prek Pra Keila this afternoon that sent them to the top of the league table. Chaya replaced Suong Virak on 63 minutes and just five minutes later he fired in a shot that fizzed across the face of goal and nestled in the corner of the net. It was a win that Crown deserved but they made heavy weather of it. In the opening game of the day, Naga introduced four new signings for their game against the Army and it worked, with Nigerian striker Julius Oiboh netting a hat-trick on his debut in a 3-1 win. The 20 year old used his strength and eye for goal and proved to be the difference between the two teams. More from both games later.
