Julius tops 25

Sunday's final Metfone C-League regular season games duly obliged the audience and signed off with a dozen goals in the two matches, both of which had no impact on the top 4 or relegation issues. Kirivong stuck three past Prek Pra without reply, with both sides already assured of C-League action next season and the game reflecting that in its lack of urgency. The C-League's top scorer Julius Ononiwu netted two more to take his final tally to 25 goals for the season. Unless Naga's Teab Vathanak can overhaul him in the play-offs, Julius seems destined for the Golden Boot trophy and prizemoney. In the 2nd game, the Army finally dished out some of the style they've been lacking for all of the second half of the league season, to thrash relegated Chhma Khmao 7-2, with Khim Borey and Phuong Soksana both scoring twice. More on both games later, as I'm having to deal with a flooded flat just now.
