Without the injured Orn Chanpolin, the Academy U-16s, just two weeks away from their opening game in China in the Asia Champions Trophy, came on strong to score two late goals and deservedly win this practice game at RSN Stadium on Sunday. Two early chances for Chhuot Senteang were denied, the first after just five minutes when his shot was kept out by the keeper's feet, before TriAsia got a fortunate penalty for an ankle-tap on the half hour. Ex-Crown Leng Narin scored from the spot. In the second half, Sraing Titchhy sent an early shot just wide and Suon Noeut was denied by a good save after being set up by Senteang. In Sodavid's blast took a deflection over the top before Men Piphop unleashed a 30-yard screamer that dipped over the keeper's head and into the net for a glorious equaliser with nine minutes to go. Yeu Muslim went close with another long range effort and then a Sodavid drive from distance was fumbled by the keeper and Vat Samnang was on hand to turn the ball over the line for the winner, with just two minutes to go. A great comeback and fully deserved.
