Semi time

Preah Khan's Sam El Nasa could be the man to make a difference in Saturday's semi-final
The first of the Metfone C-League play-off semi-finals takes place Saturday with Build Bright United facing Preah Khan Reach at 2pm at the Olympic Stadium. And it should be a corker. The students of BBU have had a great season whilst Preah Khan seem to be coming into form at the right time. I think PKR will shade it on the day. The difference between the teams could be the left foot of Khuon Laboravy or the experienced head of Sam El Nasa. You have been warned. On Sunday, at 3.30pm, the second semi will take place with the team who finished at the top of the table, Naga Corp, meeting the pundit's favourites, Phnom Penh Crown. They can be a bit erratic but I think Crown will edge this one as well, with Keo Sokngorn playing a key role. Don't forget the date of the final has been changed and will now take place at 2pm on Saturday 21 August. The 3rd place play-off will take place the day before.

The Final at 2pm???.. perfect... the hottest part of the day not only for the players but also the supporters... this is supposed to be the highlight of the domestic football calendar... once again the best interests of players ignored!!

I don't accept the result with crazy referees. Preah Khan Reach is the team of the FFC's boss

Anon, if you are talking about yesterday's game, between Preah Khan and BBU, then the referee didn't really have much of an impact on the game, despite allowing the 2nd half to be played, when the pitch was unplayable!

That aside, he failed to spot a handball by PKR's Nzekwest in the 1st half that was probably a penalty, and the headed goal that was ruled out in the 2nd half was probably a foot offside at most. So BBU can count themselves a bit unfortunate to lose to PKR in the semis.

Whether the team is the federation's favourite, I couldn't possibly comment.

Hi Andy, when Preah Khan Reach play, not 11 against 11, that's 11 against 14. Preah Khan Reach have referee and his linemen.
