Result: PPCFC 3 AEU 1 (Friendly).
Phnom Penh Crown won 3 games on Sunday. The first of those kicked off at 8am at RSN as the senior team met AEU, one of their regular practice match opponents. Coach Sam Schweingruber gave run-outs to two trialists, the returning striker Jeong Ho Kim, back from a visit to his home in South Korea, and Nigerian Ugochukwu Obi Monekeo, who actually opened the scoring twelve minutes into the 2nd half. Crown dominated most of the opening 45 minutes without scoring though Obi should've done better when he broke clear on ten minutes, only for his attempted chip to fail. His goal came when a Chea Dara cross fell to him at the far post and he swept it in. Two minutes later, AEU capitalised on a defensive mix-up to score the equaliser. On 66 minutes Crown made their pressure tell when Khim Borey's chipped free kick fell to Kouch Sokumpheak and he netted at the second attempt. It was one-way traffic after that and Borey was denied a headed goal by a great save before George Bisan scored with six minutes left to play, volleying home a Borey cross. It was Crown's second win in as many days after the previous day's win over Western Uni. To make it a hat-trick of victories on Sunday, the club's two Academy teams won their Youth League semi-finals and progressed to next Sunday's two age group finals.
