The Academy rest after a recent practice match |
Head coach Bouy Dary will take a
Phnom Penh Crown Academy squad of 22 players to Ho
Chi Minh City in Vietnam later this week for a two-game friendly tour as
preparation for the forthcoming Asia Champions U-16 Trophy which begins
next month (Crown kick off with a tough tie away in China against Guangdong on 17 May). The Academy U-16s will face
their old rivals PVF on 7 April and then the Dong Thap FC U-16s on 9
April, before returning home and taking their Khmer New Year break. A very important part of the team's preparation after a series of recent matches against adult opposition. PVF will be a really tough test, having beaten the Academy twice in the ACT competition last year. They have been drawn in a different group to Crown for this year's trophy, so it's a great opportunity to renew our friendship as well as face a stern examination.
