This Dordoi line-up easily beat Nepal Police 5-1

Dordoi from Kyrgyzstan have the evil eye over Nepal Police Club, beating them on every occasion that they meet in the AFC President's Cup including the 2007 competition final. Today was no different. The Kyrgyz players were bigger, stronger and deadlier and were three goals to the good within 14 minutes. It looked like a rout was on the cards. Two goals from the mobile Mirlan Murzaev on three and fourteen minutes and one sandwiched in between by Kaiumzhan Sharipov on twelve minutes did all the early damage and effectively killed off the tie. After that Dordoi took their foot of the peddle and conceded a penalty with the last kick of the half, which Nepal's busy playmaker Parbat Pandey converted. After the break, Dordoi were never in trouble and Murzaev scored his hat-trick goal on 64 minutes after a misplaced pass fell invitingly for him. On 68 minutes Azamat Baimatov struck a powerful free-kick against the upright from all of thirty-five yards. Two minutes later he repeated the feat with an unstoppable shot from open play that sailed into the top corner and settled the final score at 5-1 in Dordoi's favour. Their Russian coach Sergey Dvoryankov wasn't overly pleased with his team. "I'm not so happy with the performance. We had many chances to score but we didn't and our defending at times wasn't great either. The first task was to win, which we did." Hat-trick man Murzaev is just 22 years old and is the pin-up boy of the Kyrgyzstan national team striker, who has also had experience in Russia with feeder team Locomotiv-2 Moscow and in Israel with Hopoel Petah Tikva. He was the 2010 most valuable player of the AFC President's Cup with five goals as his team lost in the final. For Nepal Police their next game against Phnom Penh Crown takes on a crucial significance with the Nepalese needing to get something out of the game to give them a chance of qualifying. It all points to becoming a real barnstormer of a match on Monday at 4.30pm.
