Friendly encounters

With the Cambodian national team in action on Tuesday afternoon (4pm at Olympic Stadium) when they face the touring Malaysian Olympic team, there is no rest for the four Phnom Penh Crown players called into the squad. Kouch Sokumpheak, Tieng Tiny, Sun Sopanha and Phoung Narong are in. Whilst they are training with the national team, their Crown teammates will be playing a practice match against the Asia Euro University at Tuol Kork at 3pm on Monday, essentially to give a run out to the squad players who haven't featured recently. The last time Crown played this particular University team they won 10-1 with Kingsley Njoku netting five times. On Wednesday, Crown have a friendly booked against the Cambodian U-19 national team, though the venue is yet to be decided. It's important for Crown to give their squad players some game time with the trip to Singapore looming large on the 16th of this month. Crown can take a squad of sixteen players including their three foreign players for the match against the Singapore Armed Forces, one of the strongest teams in Singapore.
